My feet are in agony

If your feet and ankles tend toward the boney side, do not buy these shoes! This is my 5th pair of Asics. I have loved all 4 previous pairs because of their instant wearability and comfort. These shoes do not meet that expectation. The upper is a firm plastic not Asics' signature breathable mesh. The plastic squeezes and rubs the front half of my feet. 30 minutes into a match, my feet are in agony and that pain continues for hours after I'm off the court. The cut of the shoe hits directly underneath my ankle bone. I'm wearing high socks with these shoes and they've still rubbed away the skin under my ankle bones. I guess I missed some reviews warning of these issues because when my club pro saw me wearing these, he asked whether my feet were miserable yet. Yep.

Comfortable from the start and color is great. The new higher side is supportive but I wore a higher sock.
