Gamma Live Wire Professional 18G Natural Tennis String

The closest thing I have found to natural gut, at a slightly lower price. The previous review did not seem to like the string, but sounds like they were using a polyester string. This string is definitely NOT anything like a polyester, but that's what I like about it. Very playable, responsive and easy on the arm. Does not last a long time, but for how playable it is, that's OK.

These are by far the worst strings I have ever played with while Prince lightning is the 2nd. I bought them because I have liked every Gamma string I have bought and the reviews were good but these were a mistake. I cut them out after the 2nd time playing with them. I couldnt hit my normal shots and when I backed off on power the ball trampolined out. NO THANKS! The normal strings I used in my Head Radical S were Gamma IO at 55-57 lbs until it was discontinued so now I use Solinco Hyper G 18g at 55lbs.

This string provides nice comfort and precision. The string does tend to break faster than most others because of 18g thinness.

Up date on previous review. After several days using this string found that it did lose tension quickly and because of it's "slick" feel the strings moved around a lot. Maybe using the 16 or 17 gauge would be better but won't be paying this much to experiment.

Was using Babolat Tonic in a Hybrid with Poly but since the price of Gut is still going up decided to try this instead. Expensive for a synthetic but as close to the gut feel for about half the price.
